If the draft estimate looks good to you, we’ll arrange a site visit in Reitz to inspect your roof structure, DB board layout, and meter setup. We’ll then finalise the system design. Even after the inspection, your quote stays free and without obligation—so you’re never locked into something unless you’re ready.

Most installations are scheduled around three weeks ahead. Once you approve the quote, we’ll find a slot that fits your calendar. After the site check, a deposit secures your installation date and allows us to order your equipment—keeping your Reitz project on track from the start.

After we’ve completed the site visit, we’ll request an 80% deposit to purchase the main components for your system. The remaining 20% is payable one week after your system is installed, tested, and officially handed over.

You’ll receive regular updates from your dedicated project coordinator, including time-stamped photos at key stages—like deposit confirmation, equipment dispatch, and installation progress. Most home and backup systems are completed in a single day, provided the weather cooperates. Our Reitz team arrives prepared with pre-configured equipment and a clear plan. This means your installation is completed quickly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to your day.

Your installation is led by the same design engineer who created your system plan. They’re supported by a licensed electrician and four experienced installers for full systems—or a team of three for backup-only jobs. A technical support specialist may also drop in to handle software setup and monitoring. The Reitz crew is efficient, skilled, and handles everything from setup to handover.

Roughly a week after the system is switched on, your design engineer will return for a formal handover. You’ll receive a full Handover File in both printed form and as a PDF. This includes your invoice, signed completion form, installation photos, design documents, product datasheets, warranty details, and your Electrical Certificate of Compliance (CoC).

On installation day, we’ll guide you through the inverter and monitoring app, so you know how everything works. A week later, your engineer will return for the handover and answer any questions you may have. We’ll fine-tune settings if needed, and after that, we’ll monitor your system remotely. If we spot anything unusual, we’ll let you know and assist with follow-up support whenever needed.

If your inverter fails, CCSO Solar will loan you a temporary unit while we handle the repair. The full process can take up to eight weeks. We remove the broken unit, manage the transport, and reinstall the repaired one. During your first year, this service is free—unless the damage is caused by negligence.

In most cases, yes. South African insurers usually treat rooftop solar systems like fixed home assets—similar to a geyser—if installed by a certified provider like CCSO Solar. Just send your broker the replacement value so your panels, inverter, and batteries can be added to your building insurance policy. This will cover you in case of storm, fire, or theft damage.
